In Tokyo, she had qualified in first place for the individual all-around contest, and in four finals in total, but during the team final, she felt unable to continue. She did not compete in the first three finals, but returned on the last day to take yet another bronze medal on the balance beam.
On the last day in Paris, after winning three gold medals, she fell off the Beam, and she stepped off the field twice on the Floor. That cost her 0.6 points, but she finished only 0.03 behind the gold medal total.

The shot put in 2004 was held at the ancient site of Olympia. Bilonog had two throws of 21.15m before his sixth attempt. Adam Nelson had just one valid throw, of 21.16m. In his sixth throw, Bilonog put 21.16m, so he took the gold medal because of his better second throw. That gold medal was taken away in 2013 when his sample revealed an anabolic steroid.
