One of the more difficult ones to assign a nationality to, as he died before partition. He was born in what is now Pakistan, but played his hockey in Kolkata, and died in a sanatorium in Chennai. Given that he was (probably) a Muslin, the nephew rule (his brother and descendants would have been living in Pakistan) dictates that he should be treated as a Pakistani.
