One year after the Innsbruck Olympics, in which Revell and Debbi Wilkes finished third, it was discovered that the German pair that had finished second (Marika Kilius and Hans-Jürgen Bäumler) had signed a professional contract before the Games and would therefore have to return their silver medals, which were awarded to the Canadians. In 1987, that decision was overturned but the silver medals were not retracted. I however award points for the third place they actually reached.
