The team called West Indies represented the West Indies Federation.
That federation was comprised of 13 territories:

- Saint Kitts and Nevis,
- Saint Lucia,
- Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,
- Trinidad and Tobago;
- Anguilla,
- Montserrat,
- Cayman Islands,
- Turks and Caicos Islands
The team consisted of athletes from three of these:
