At Innsbrück, she finished second behind her elder sister Christine in the Slalom (her speciality) and she later stated she had chosen to go for a safe silver, because gold was already assured for the family. The order was then reversed in the Giant Slalom.
World Champion at Downhill and Giant Slalom in 1966, and Combined in 1962, '64 and '66.
