In 1956, both Germany and Switzerland ended on an equal total of 2346 points. Liselott Linsenhof's better place decided on silver for Germany. She was not in the team in 1960 and 1964 but returned to win three more medals in 1968 and 1972, when she rode the famous Swedish stallion Piaff on both occasions.
Her daughter Ann-Kathrin won team gold in 1988.
